Ari-Elle West received her bachelor’s of science degree in Psychology and is in the Counselor Education program on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track, seeking a Master’s degree in Education. She is currently a counselor intern at East Central Regional Hospital and has previous volunteer experience at a local sexual trauma center in Greenwood, South Carolina. She is passionate about advocating for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness as well as underserved populations. Her research interests consist of attachment theory and suicide risk, prevention, and intervention. She has presented on attachment theory across the developmental periods of childhood and adolescence at regional and state conferences. She is also a Graduate Assistant for the Department of Advanced Studies and Innovation in the College of Education at Augusta University.
